Heavy, important, and beautiful.
The novel follows three people through the 60s in Nigeria and Biafra. All the characters in this book are so well developed, and you really get to know them and change with them.
I learned a lot, and find myself now wanting to learn more, about the historical events, how it shaped people living it and also the world as a whole.

The book starts a bit slow; it took me a while to get caught up in the story. About 100 pages in I was hooked.
I definitely recommend this book!
