I read this book in one sitting, and it had me crying by the end of it. I had read about the events that occurred in the book, but I never understood the impact it had on the Métis people. It was an important read and I think it highlighted how the Métis people were even more marginalized when compared with the other Indigenous people of Canada. The story did a great job highlighting how impactful intergenerational trauma is and how it impacts people for generations to come. If you are interested in the history of the Métis people and Canada, I would highly recommend this comic series.
