I seem to have hit a streak where the heroines just get on my last nerves. Here, we had a H who didn't play games once they got together and with all his baggage still invested in the h. The h, also had baggage and to give her her due, I can understand someone who wants to forget their past. But seriously, her self obsessing about her old self and her new self, her old self , her new self wore on me. This was what the whole plot hung on and I got bored of it. It also doesn't help when the author tries to make it all sunshine and light at the end, like making the h's brother vaguely redeemable. Should have left him a douche bag, that would be better, but then I get the feeling we're going to get a book about him. (edit) oops! just noticed, there is a book about him already.
