Dearest Rogue
by Elizabeth Hoyt
I liked this! The banter and dynamic between Phoebe and James was just really great, and I liked how the book kind of began with the transition of Phoebe starting to think about James as more than just her bodyguard. It was also really interesting to read a historical romance with a blind heroine because I don’t think I’ve read many (or any) like that before. The part of the plot with James and Phoebe having to go on the run (and pretend to be married!!! Always a fave trope) from kidnappers was great, but the actual bits with the plotting and the kidnapping attempts and the ladies and Eve and basically everything to do with that was 0% interesting to me and I ended up skimming through all those parts so I could get back to Phoebe and James.
