A wonderful second instalment after The Final Empire. The further development of the characters was really good and the political intrigue and action was great. Despite its length, it was easy to read and well paced. Definitely no ‘Second book syndrome’ here. I’m so glad I put the 3rd one on hold so I can go get it out tomorrow!
