I quite like Pratchett’s books, particularly his witches series, and did enjoy this one, to a point, but what I didn’t particularly enjoy was the jabs made at Agnes’ weight. It seemed like every other sentence made a quick elbow-nudge to the reader to remind us about how big Agnes was. That’s the main reason for such a low rating. I enjoyed Granny Weatherwax and how she and the other witches dealt with the vampires and Pratchett showing off that he can write some pretty chilling horror, but the fatphobic jibes really did not help the story one bit.
