The Heartstopper Yearbook
by Alice Oseman
i started reading heartstopper on tapas somewhere in late 2017 or early 2018, and i followed oseman on tumblr, too. reading this short art book was nice, to reminisce on who i was when i started reading the comic (and why it was so important to me as a baby gay), and to get insights into what the thought process was behind certain character design choices or locations. i just wish there was more; i know that the author is *extremely* busy, what with their multitude of responsibilities and projects, but it felt like such a small peak under the curtain and i was left craving more. i’m not the same person i was when i started reading heartstopper (i’m a only little less sappy than i was at fourteen), but this series will always have a very special place in my heart. thank you for all that you do, alice. it means the world <3
