For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten

1.0

I so much WANTED to like this book. I really tried. But oh I just could not. I got angry at this book!

1: the heroine girl just pretty much whines about how scary her magic is for fully 33% of the novel. Yes she has a mostly valid reason, but FFS she is about to get a bunch of people killed by not using it.
2: the hero guy is just mysterious. That's it. He just doesn't tell her really important things she needs to know or do. It's the cliché "don't do X" "why?" "Just don't do it!!"
3: and then because he's not telling her why it's important and she's a stupid whiny idiot who doesn't think, she goes and does the things. A lot.
4: his lackeys or whatever don't even need to be in this book. They do nothing.
5: hero girl's twin sister is even more useless. Hello, your mother suddenly has a mysterious illness and the priestess that wants to be in charge makes friends with you and then shows you that she can kill the shrubs in the garden? Gosh I wonder if they're related?!?!
6: not quite plot related but Omg these characters just keep doing the SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER again. Like he runs off, tells her to stay. She goes anyway. This happens at least four times in the first half of the book. Just.. Why?!?
