I'm Glad My Mom Died
by Jennette McCurdy
challenging
dark
emotional
hopeful
informative
reflective
sad
medium-paced
This book was often uncomfortable and painful and sad to absorb, but I also have to credit McCurdy for being so unflinchingly honest and forthright. This is her life, and she painted a very clear picture. This is an important perspective on childhood stardom, absolutely.
Also, great title.
