This is a hard one to rate. It takes a while to build up into something that I can appreciate fully, with the first half being just kind of okay. But then the second half really makes up for it (mainly dealing with the aftermath of a big turning point). It was poignant, brutal, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. I feel like I've been punched in the gut several times after reading the last 50 pages or so. Oof.
