This was so whimsical and funny and fun.
Backman writes things that help remind us what the point of it all is.
I laughed, I cried, this was so wholesome.
It took me a bit to get into it, but once I understood Britt-Marie I was invested.
It centered around a small town’s devotion to soccer, with quirky lovable characters, so it almost had a Ted Lasso vibe to it, which is the highest praise I can give.
