Punished by Penelope Bloom

2.0

This was rough to get through. Penelope Bloom has potential as an author but could really benefit from tracking her plot in an outline as she goes along. An ex-wife was mentioned at the beginning of the story... and then never heard from again. As the saying goes, if you mention a gun in the first act it needs to be used in the second act. Emmaline confesses being frustrated with vanilla sex, and then it's never mentioned again (unless it got skipped in my reading cause I just needed to be done with book, in which case, my bad).

I never really cared for the characters and I felt like Bloom could have used the scenario in this book to explore Emmaline's sexuality so much more.

So much potential but, of the two books I've read by Bloom, they've both desperately needed an editor and beta reader to rip it apart to help her put them back together for a great story.
