I'm a Fan by Sheena Patel

3.0

This book is both hilarious and terribly uncomfortable. There are moments where it seems Patel has a point to make, but is unsure how to weave it into the story she’s created. The character feels disjointed - at times incredibly intelligent and reflective and others so unintelligent and unlikeable. Maybe this makes her more human? I am embarrassed in the moments I find myself relating to her or see my own behavior in hers.

More than anything I think this is an exploration of the craze that a toxic relationship can put you in.
