Mafia RH - medium to low burn
I was a little disappointed, I expected more from the description in regards to the heat and tension with the characters. Vicky didn't feel fully developed and the sex scenes felt more like required additions than development of the story. The. Cover description really did give away the book without needing to read it, which was unfortunate as I do enjoy a good dark RH, but I wanted to enjoy the journey. I felt like the author had many opportunities to go deeper and darker and let scenes fall flat. Example, explain Nicks piercings, I'm pretty sure she referred to a Jacobs ladder but there was no depth there or on how it felt other than "so good" in essence. Did make me smile in some scenes but cringe in others.
