Would've been 5 stars except I got annoyed by the naivety and whininess from Rose and the recklessness from Wren early on. They got so much better as the book went on. For the last third of the book I was on the edge of my seat. The comedic timing of some of the chapter perspective swaps was brilliant. And in general the humour was weaved so well! Still obsessed with Shen but Tor has competition, and he's currently losing for me 👀 Can't wait to see how it's all resolved in Book 3!
