It's hard for me to accept the pure naiveté in the main character. I know he's young, but he's absolutely oblivious and it kills me.
No matter what, Bruno and Shmuel's story will resonate with everyone who reads it.
"Fences like this exist all over the world. We hope you never have to cross such a fence."
