I’ve read this years ago but I’m trying to jog my memory by doing a reread. I like how this book is geared toward older audiences. Masato is trying to escape his loud neighbors and goes to stay at his friend’s house, where he meets Asahi. He’s an architect who doesn’t really keep up with himself so Masato tends to do most of the housework. Asahi is a bit blunt and hard to digest at first, but his reasoning for his behavior makes sense as you read the volume. My heart felt for Masato with the heartbreak he has dwelt with but understanding loving someone without reciprocation can close someone off for good. I do hope in the next volume he opens up his heart but with caution. This volume was a solid 5 for me from pacing to the comedic moments. Highly recommend ✨
