"He wanted all of me. My heart. My mind. My goddamned soul. All those pieces I kept hidden from the rest of world. But he should’ve known he already had them. And finally, I let him see it."
From the very first page, this story had me truly captivated! Ridley & Colt shared the same pain and their connection was just bound to deepen. It was obvious that they had a spark between them ever since the beginning, and it was really nice seeing Colt start to worry and care about Ridley even if he disapproved of her methods. It wasn't just about the romance, the story was also about healing and moving forward from a sense of loss and learning how to live again after it, which Catherine wonderfully implemented! What stood out to me the most was how compassionate and strong all the characters were. Whether it was Ridley or Emerson, all of them had their own set of past wounds but the way they still stood strong was what felt real to me. And as usual, Catherine 's writing pulled me right into this world and Ridley's bravery and Colt's vulnerable side were incredibly soul stirring. Moreover, all the side characters (except a few ofcourse) were delightful! And how they slowly welcomed Ridley in their town also added another layer of charm to the story. Overall, I really loved this book. Once I started it, I was unable to put it down and could not get enough! Highly recommend!
