Genuinely did not expect to love this so much but it ticked so much of my boxes.
I loved the plot of this. I love a historical romance with some action and a book that stars a marked vigilante is definitely one of those.
I loved Winter and Isabel. It was so refreshing to read a historical romance where the fmc is older and more sexually experienced than the mmc. A virgin mmc is almost unheard of around these parts. I loved the progression of their relationship and the way that they each let the other person in. Winter has a darkness within himself and beneath Isabel’s confidence, she has certain insecurities and they love each other all the more for these things.
I enjoyed the writing very much. Absolutely nothing to complain about there.
While this is the fourth book in the series, it’s the first one I read because a friend recommended it to me but now I can’t wait to go and start the very first book.
