I read this a thousand times as a kid. My dad just gave me a copy as a gift, and it's just as good as I remember it!
I don't know how aware of it I was as a kid, but I really get a kick out of how most of what went wrong that day was very easily preventable. It's a good reminder when I'm grumpy that it's probably at least 80% my fault. (:
