I NEED THE NEXT BOOK IN THIS SERIES MDMDMDNND. This book was SO cute and SO good. I didn’t know what to expect really going into it, but i was pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. The writing was great, the jokes, the banter, the love, relationship development between Noah and Alex was a delight to read.
This left me frustrated (in the best way) smiling like a fool and I just really enjoyed myself laughing out loud. This is probably one of my favourite queer hockey/sports books i’ve read to date (and if you know me i’ve read a lot). I absolutely loved the side characters, how well they were woven into the story, even though at first it was kinda hard to keep up with which person was on which team, I still loved the interactions and the merging of the friend groups. Alex and Noah were so so so so cute, and I thought this book was very diverse, handled the homophobia and topics of inclusivity in the hockey world and self acceptance really well along with mental health.
I actually really appreciated the pictures too because sometimes it’s hard to picture exactly what some characters look like i think more books should do that lmao. But, I can’t wait to see where this series goes and which characters’s stories we will see next. Overall, a great quick read.
