The Kind Worth Saving
by Peter Swanson
Interesting read after the first in the series, The Kind Worth Killing. Following along two story lines, the book starting with new characters, new stories, and the alternate narrator being characters we know and love Lily Kintner and Henry Kimball.
Following Joan & Richards story was seemingly more dark and sadistic because there was (what felt like) less meaning behind it than Lily's from the story before. The way the two plots paralleled and then crossed over was brilliant and brought a great continuation for the characters I grew to love in the first novel.
Character development: 5/5
Plot depth: 4/5 (a bit repetitive from the first book, but new takes with new characters)
Ending/ plot "twist": 5/5 foreseeable yet still surprising!!
Found my jaw dropped rapidly finishing the last quarter of the book. Loved it
