Initially, this book made me upset, but after reflecting on it, I really enjoyed this book and felt it was a fitting ending to the series. Having Aris sacrifice himself as the ending passed me off as first, but all things considered, I think it fit his character development and the cyclical nature of the story well enough. I was also upset that Blythe didn't let Percy just die again, but after thinking about that, it makes sense she has a pacifist and nonviolent nature because she literally is Life. So, while I think she's stupid, it was at least in character. Really enjoyed the development of Aris and Blythe's relationship, not as much as Signa and Death, but a very close second. It was an actual enemies to lovers with tension and executed quite well. The story and mystery in this one was also pretty good, although the love story was clearly the focus. I'm also glad the epilogue has Aris and Blythe finding each other again.
