Ain't She Sweet? by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

5.0

After hearing that this book was a great example of making an unlikeable heroine sympathetic, I had to check it out. And all those folks were right. Sugar Beth Carey was so hateful and mean in high school that she made enemies of everyone. Yet I found myself rooting for her to find both the painting she needed and love.

Such a satisfying story, on so many levels. It proves, once again, why SEP is a master.
