Anna McAlister walked away from a comfortable life and even though it was comfortable it felt empty and she didn't like the person she was becoming. She left her fiance and was determined to find her happiness in a new town. When Anna meets Detective Calvin Miller it doesn't quite go as planned, he pulls her golden girl buddies over and lets just say Anna is now on Calvin's radar.
Calvin was burned years ago when he thought he had found the one, she wasn't. It has been awhile since he wanted to see someone but Anna has peaked his interest. What happens when Anna's past comes to visit though will she stay or go?
This was another brilliant read from this talented author. I liked that Anna was real, she made a life choice that I think others have done at one time or another. I absolutely adored the golden girls, they were a hoot. Calvin is pure charisma...loved every moment of this book.
