I am so glad this painted a more realistic picture of teenagers. Life is complicated even for teenagers and some are dealing with more than others. I’m glad that Dani’s parents didn’t write off her change as her just going through hormones and I am thankful that Dani was able to motivate Prince. This book is inspiring, but can be emotionally triggering. Unfortunately, this is the sad reality for some teenagers, but I appreciated Ebony giving the reader a sense of hopefulness and gratitude for the present.
