Chuck Tingle you’ve done it again!!! I can understand why Chuck Tingle’s horror novels wouldn’t be for everyone but by GOD they’re for me! Love is real motherfuckers!!! Genuinely if a horror novel doesn’t have this much heart or this many things to say, I’m just not moved. Probably liked this one as much as Bury Your Gays (my previous favorite Tingle horror foray); imho it was a lot less scary than that or Camp Damascus but very very gory so be advised if you struggle with that. Maybe the goriest book I’ve ever read? The scene in the department store with the mirrors is going to stick with me for a long time. Can’t wait to see what he writes next.
Graphic: Biphobia, Body horror, Death, Gore, Violence, Car accident, Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Panic attacks/disorders, Suicidal thoughts, Grief
