I love the gothic feel this book had. It’s been a long time since I’ve read something that made me think of the house of night series by PC And Kristen Cast 

I do wish the book was longer. I feel like things were glossed over and it makes a lot of the relationships in the book seem immature or unrealistic.  With that being said, the spicy scenes were dark but fun and left me wanting a lot more! Also the plot twist was really fun and the cliff hanger has me itching to start the next book.

Side note: I also listened to the audio while I read and I give that a 2⭐️ the narrators could have been more emotive but my biggest pet peeve is…. They literally skipped passages/pages  and whole chapters in the audio… like what the heck??? Why would you cut down a book that is already pretty vague? It was extremely annoying because it happened  ALOT. I’m really hoping they don’t make the same mistake in book 2.
