I almost stopped reading. Almost. The first couple chapters were quite boring, but, they were necessary. They provided a history for those who are not quite familiar with Greek Mythology or for those who know the big names like Minos and his Minotaur, but might not have heard of his daughters, or his wife. The story takes off from there. Betrayal, love, more betrayal. Loss. The common theme seems to be how the choices of man ripple and effect those they love, the women who are just supposed to go along with it all.
It does getting a little long in regards to Dionysus and I found myself wishing the stories lines would wrap up a little quicker, but overall, I loved this book.
