I can’t put into words how I feel… safe to say I’m in love!!!
I’m being honest here. This is the best start to this series and I can’t wait for the rest. Romeo and Demi have my entire heart. The way they complete each other has me on the floor.
“Do you think I’m going to poison you, Romeo?”
“I doubt it. I don’t think you’d do well in prison, looking like that.”
“Obviously, you’re unaware that orange is my favorite color.”
Their banter… soooo good. I loved the slow build up to their friendship even though he was infatuated from the start. Though I must say, beefcake claimed her first darling Romeo.
Let’s take a pause, can we talk about Romeo’s confession…
“Most of the time, I think about you naked. I think about the way you’d taste. The way you’d respond when I touched you. The way your lips would feel against mine. The way you’d look when you came for me.”
Again… on the floor… please don’t help me up.
Lastly, on a serious note. I just loved them both as individuals. The way Demi’s heart is, and how she’d do anything for anyone. The way she didn’t use her family’s name for her business and did it on her own. She’s incredible. As for Romeo, his unrelenting determination to show who he is was admiring. The way he showed up everyday to practice and didn’t care about any outcome. He just wanted to fight, I loved that.
So am I surprised I loved this book, absolutely not… I mean Laura wrote it. There was not doubt it’d be amazing. It truthfully surpassed my expectations.
Now, let’s take a moment for the boys… I loved them. The way they all had each other’s backs. Again, so excited for their books next. But their secret keeping… thank goodness they are the ride or die boys
Demi: Don’t tell anyone… not even your friends
Romeo: Okay, I won’t
