A Wrinkle in Time
by Madeleine L'Engle
Perfect book. What I love most is how it's Meg's faults that help her, but I also love:
-the messages of kindness and trying hard against difficult obstacles
-the characters (especially Meg, but also how three old women are heroines too)
-the simple horror of the sentence revealing IT's identity
-the way the book wraps up in less than three pages after the climax--no padding here!
A+.
