Vacation read #4, time for a speedy review: the first half of this book was ferociously boring, I thought about DNF-ing it (even though I usually don’t DNF books) but I pushed through and the last little bit was actually good and fun!! But it remained so overshadowed by how painfully slow the first bit was that I didn’t even care. And the ending was so fast that I was just blinking at the pages, not realizing that was where it finished. Anyway, I’m sad to say that there is probably POTC fanfic out there that is much better than this book (I’ve never read any POTC fic but I’m sure it’s there)
