One True Loves by Elise Bryant

3.0

When her prom night ends in disaster, Lenore graduates high school assuming that happily ever afters are not for her. While her friend Tessa is sure that she can turn things around, Lenore leaves for her family's vacation with her mind made up: she's not ever going to find love. The first night on their cruise, she meets a cute guy who promptly asks her to fake date to make his old girlfriend jealous. Lenore is understandably steamed...and then mortified when she finds out that her new mortal enemy & his family are assigned to the same table as hers. Their parents become instant besties, which means Lenore & Alex will be spending much more time together than they hoped...

This was a pretty good follow up to Happily Ever Afters, also by Elise Bryant. Lenore is definitely more cynical than Tessa, which gives this book a different flavor. I enjoyed the backdrop of a cruise ship & the places they visit as the setting for the story. I especially enjoyed Lenore's little sister as a side character - she was quirky and unintentionally hilarious. Lenore herself was a bit over-dramatic, but that's to be expected of an 18 year old. It seemed like there was more swearing than was necessary, but overall, it was a good story.
