Midnight Never Come by Marie Brennan

5.0

This book mixes fantasy with historical fiction, taking place in Elizabethan England it has all the mystery and espionage that surrounded Elizabeth's court. The fantasy is what lies below Elizabethan England and that is the court of Invidiana The Queen of faerie England. She has interfered in mortal politics for years and now two courtiers from both courts, Lune and Michael Deven, are willing to risk everything in order to bring her down. This story was truly a page turner with lots of twists and mysteries. This is a series, but Midnight never Come is a really good stand alone novel.
