I finished the first one so fast and ran straight to this one. Reading it helped distract me from some other things going on in my life as it was so immersive, with action, romance, intrigue and humor to boot.
While I could guess some of the twists and turns, it's because of the ample amount of foreshadowing and hinting the author did. This made it extra interesting because as a reader, I knew a little more about the MC than she did, but I wasn't entirely sure if I was correct and how it would play out. That added extra tension and unpredictability, which made for a fun read.
