Strategic Classroom Design: Creating an Environment for Flexible Learning by Jessica Martin

informative fast-paced

3.0

I’m changing grade levels and classrooms for the billionth time and wanted to really plan and map out my room this time around to hopefully streamline the process because being an educator entails so much unpaid labor, and I’m completely over tearing down and setting up my classroom every other year for free.

If you’re a brand new teacher and you’ve never designed or set up your room before, this is a good book to grab. However if you’re a veteran or experienced teacher like me,  I found this book to be pretty generic and obvious. I didn’t learn anything new, I got a few ideas about storage or color theory and it was nice to see photos of other classrooms but there really wasn’t anything new to offer experienced teachers in this book.
