I had to read the next book before writing this review! I couldn’t help myself!
From Blood and Ash was an incredible story that took me on an amazing journey.
What originally had me hooked was the promise of great smut, but I found that I enjoyed this for much more than the sex scenes. Reading about Poppy’s life was something I delighted in and I cannot wait to read more as the series goes on.
Furthermore, I loved how we were able to see Poppy’s distinct relationship between a lot of the characters and got to see textual evidence for her feelings towards them. We got to see the reason why she felt a certain emotion towards another which allowed me to understand her character well.
The sexual tension in this book was off the charts! I absolutely loved reading this, especially the moments when Hawke got turned on by stabby Poppy.
