And [a:Sarah Vaughan|1026489|Sarah Vaughan|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1425464652p2/1026489.jpg] delivered! I was instantly drawn to the story - it's starts with a bang! The next chapter then rewinds a bit and gives the back story that lead up to that point.

I was completely sucked in! I was guessing all the ways it could happen and what was going on. I found the on-line threats, the physical threat of the public, and the invasive feeling of the press all very realistic. I thought Emma's story was so sad - that she dealt with such a low simmer or terror every day just for doing her job and being a woman.

I liked the twist of the roommates, the daughter's drama and romance subplot. I think all of them drew out the character to give a fuller story as well as the additional POV giving us the full story from all sides. It was such a compelling way to tell the story and it was hard to stop! I never guessed what all happened and I enjoyed how it all played out and wrapped up. The note from author saddened me.

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.
