This French adaptation left me a little star struck- I expected it to feel like a typical YA, with an organised marriage trope I was expecting it to potentially border on cringe. Instead I was charmed and delighted by the beautiful world building it the different arks I loved Ophelias passivity as a protagonist she finds strength in her quiet and resists in a subtle almost invisible manner proving her to be extraordinarily resilient! I kind of wish I’d  read these as a child but I don’t think that hindered my enjoyment as an adult.
