I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

5.0

Wow this book was heavy. It was the first memoir I’ve read by one of my childhood idols and it was so groundbreaking for me. It was hard for me to listen to because of my own childhood trauma surrounding a parent but they way she told her story was beautiful. I think we often forget that celebrities have real lives and real problems behind the scenes and this memoir showcases that so beautifully. I hope nothing but more healing and a lovely life for Jennette!

Also the audio book is read by her and that was a very moving experience!
