Consider Me by Becka Mack

4.5

This is a book that honestly I’m going to tell anyone who will listen because THIS. MF. BOOK. It’s definitely in my top 20 of the year and that’s saying a lot because I read a ton of hockey books. And we all know I love my hockey boys.

Carter Beckett is officially one of my all time favourite book boyfriend. The way that he fell so hard and so fast for Olivia, and was a proper golden retriever boyfriend was the best thing ever. But it wasn’t just that, the things he said, the way he loved, and the way he communicated is everything I want in a boyfriend.

And the communication? THE COMMUNICATION!!!!! The way they talked things through the things that happened and the arguments they had throughout their relationship. They were so understanding, and honestly my relationship standards have skyrocketed to a level I’m scared no one will ever be able to compare. Though God, hear my cry and give me a man like Carter.

I feel like their relationship was very rushed, it was what - less than a year of them meeting and then getting engaged. THOUGH I DO HAVE TO ADMIT HIS PROPOSAL SENT ME TO TEARS. Their breakup and argument was something that could have been resolved so easily and didn’t actually need to be had. But in true fashion, there has to be an argument to show the importance of true love right?
