A+++ for possessive, over the top, walking red flag MMC. (And the rest of the Circle of Trust, to boot - might have to double back and read their novels.) But everything else just felt soooo silly and not fully fleshed out. We could’ve dove deeper into so many things, but instead it just felt surface-level. Olivia’s conservatorship, abuse, trauma-riddled upbringing, isolation…just went away? I wanted more hockey, too :( Also they didn’t know anything about each other and I get that’s kind of the point but it meant that the reader also didn’t really know anything about them except for how obsessed they were with each other. Idk, not my fave dark rom.
