Ohhhh, this was such an eerie and atmospheric read. I loved getting to view the mystery and life in Jacknife through different POVs, not only to figure out what happened to Cutter but also to uncover the other mysteries lurking in the swamps. It was a bit of a slow burn but that only increased the chills on the back of my neck as it ramped up when Loyal May dove deeper into the secrets surrounding the small town and grew closer to what lead up to Cutter's demise. And those final moments had me on the edge of my seat!! If you love audiobooks, I highly recommend this one.
