This 400 page book was such an ohmygoshwhatishappening thrill that I read it in 4 days. Each character is complex - surprising you with words, actions, and history that you just don't expect. Each chapter ends with an idareyoutoputthebookdown last sentence - forcing you to trudge on even at 1am. Each direction you think the author is going turns out to be just a fork in the road toward another possibility. I highly recommend it. And now knowing that Sandra Brown has written 60+ other books means I have a lot of catching up to do!
