Learning more about the history of Henrietta Lacks and the origin of the Hela cells in a narrative form was very touching and gave me a better understanding of the stigma that continues to this day between the african american patient demographic and healthcare providers. a lot of patients struggle to trust that providers are looking out for their best interest, or even have the knowledge or ability to advocate for their patient's best interest. this reminds me of other stories of human medical errors that I've read as well for class. I think its important to remember these moments to see how far we've come, stay humble, and to not repeat the errors of the past instead of just over-emphasizing and celebrating the achievements.
the writing was repetitive at times but I think it was to solely to maintain clarity, pacing was smooth.
