Yvain: The Knight of the Lion by Chrétien de Troyes

3.0

Well, I usually hate books told in verse. That probably comes from my distaste of poetry but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, Yvain surprised me by not being convoluted or boring. In fact, it was rather interesting to read a text written so long ago and written for such a specific audience. It's a simple story with simple themes mirroring the times but I kind of liked it.
