This book was SO GOOD! I'm so glad it won my number generator I did of which series to continue with this month!
It picked up right where Ember in the ashes left off and it grabbed me and held me tight from chapter 1! I was fully engaged in this story and highly recommend the audiobook! I enjoyed the multiple storylines happening at the same time. I feel like each character is essential to this story!
The last half of the book had me on the edge of my seat and just got better with each page turn. I don't know which storyline is my favorite yet because when I read about Elias and Laia I want them to escape. And when I read about Helene I want her to succeed but I don't want her to catch Elias. It's an ongoing complicated thing.
I hate the Commandant, Marcus, and the Warden and anyone who is manipulative and going against Elias. They are all pure evil. And this Nightbringer is a whole other level. I hate him but yet I want to learn more about him.
So much happens in this book! I need to discuss it! Can't wait to pick up the next book! Definitely a 5 star read for me!
