Recursion by Blake Crouch

A thought-provoking thrill ride with a solid emotional bedrock. Manipulation of memory and time is one of my favorite subject matters in speculative fiction, and Recursion played off this setup with incredible outcome.

The time-loop logic got a little convoluted quite quickly, and I sensed it probably took some liberties here and there in order to make its narrative worked, but I couldn't fault it too much for these little shortcuts gave ways to incredible set-pieces that actually got my blood pumping (this NEEDS to be made into a movie!), a melancholic journey of two individuals slowing decaying (physically and emotionally), and just simply keeping my eyes glued to the pages the whole time. Excited to check out Dark Matter soon!
