Adventurous, slow burn romance. I loved it.
I will say that it was very helpful having read the first book, Bound to the Battle God, before this one. I was able to figure out which Aspect he was fairly quickly, even though it was still a bit of mystery and I wondered if I was right at times. Once a particular steamy scene happened and he said something, I knew I was right. Miscommunication is usually a trope that I hate, but it actually played out okay in this since I knew which Aspect he was.
I think that some readers could get frustrated with Max, but I thought her choices and thoughts were understandable. I like that she was such a sweet and loving person.
Rhagos is a cinnamon roll for Max, and I am here for it!
I like that this is a long book with lots of different places that are explored. I hope Ruby makes even more in this series/world!
