Horizon Zero Dawn Vol. 1: The Sunhawk by Anne Toole

4.0

I originally read this when it first released, long before the (second) game Forbidden West released. Revisiting it now is interesting, in that in some ways I appreciate it more (such as the Shellsnapper parts), and in other ways less so (the fact that HFW didn't do more with Talanah seems like a missed opportunity, considering the obvious set-up). The core elements of the story remain the same though, which I enjoyed. If you're looking for an adventure about Aloy then this isn't that, but if you just want to spend some more time in the Horizon universe then it hits the spot.
